Avrum “Avei” Rosenzweig, CPA, CSEP

Avei provides tax and consulting services to estates and trusts, individuals with sophisticated tax profiles, owners of professional practices, and small businesses.

Avei’s extensive experience working with estates and trusts has led him to become highly regarded by peers and clients in this area. Estate executors and administrators regularly rely on Avei to walk them through the complex maze of Pennsylvania inheritance tax rules and regulations. He is known especially for his ability to take advantage of the interplay between Pennsylvania inheritance tax, federal income tax and state income tax to make sure that estates and estate beneficiaries pay, in total, as little tax as the law permits. Avei also routinely consults with both executors and beneficiaries on how to maximize executor commissions and beneficiary distributions.

Avei served for two years in the United States Navy before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, cum laude, from the University of Maryland. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and also holds the Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) designation. Avei’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and Bucks County Estate Planning Council.

Committed to community service, Avei has served as a board member and treasurer of the Mercer County Unit of the American Cancer Society; a board member, finance committee member, and vice-president of the Jewish Community Center of the Delaware Valley; a member of the United Way of Bucks County audit review committee; and a member of the finance committee of Ohev Shalom of Bucks County.

Avei lives in Bucks County, PA with his wife Paula and enjoys golf and traveling, especially to California with Paula to visit their three grandchildren
